This album is recorded on a direct-to-disc Audiodisc recording blank with an aluminum-base. This type of recording medium is considered very fragile and unstable and has been transferred using special phonograph styli with the goal of improving sound quality. This recording was originally recorded at 78 RPM, and has been transferred at half speed, then digitally sped up to retain the original pitch and speed of 78 RPM. In spite of this, the sound quality can only be as good as the recordings themselves. Please consider that these recordings are many decades old.
