THE COLLEGE
Bethany Nazarene College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the State Board of Education in Oklahoma. It is the approved college for the West Central Zone of the Church of the Nazarene. Bethany Nazarene College is a co-educational, liberal arts college with a rich heritage and tradition dating back to 1899. The college maintains six divisions: Humanities, Philosophy and Religion, Social Science, Fine Arts, Education and Psychology, and Natural Sciences. The following degrees are granted: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts in Religion. THE BAND
The Bethany Nazarene College Concert Band has been organized since 1911. The present membership is sixty. This membership is chosen by audition, and represents fourteen states, and two foreign countries. Seventeen of the performers are music majors. The other members are preparing for various professional careers or Christian service, and participate in the Band because of their broad interest in the fine arts. The Band is distinctly Christian in its beliefs and practices. Its purpose is to provide musical training for its membership and to present enjoyable programs of both sacred and secular music to the public.
